The number one factor of ball motion is coverstock. So, when we are looking to expand upon the Victory Road with the proven components of the Hy-Road, we first started with the R2S hybrid reactive shell that seemed to match up on every lane condition imaginable.
One of the most popular balls of this year’s World Series of Bowling, the Marvel™ Pearl was preferred by Ryan Shafer, Dom Barrett, and many more looking to open up the backends. The new Modern Marvel will provide more midlane traction as it features a textured R2X™ hybrid reactive cover.

Storm is known for producing THE BEST high performance balls on the market. When the Virtual Gravity Nano was released earlier this year, it immediately became the number one selling high performance ball on the planet! Every lane in every bowling center around the world quickly turned orange.
Looking to expand the Master Line with additional performance options, Storm’s product development team determined that, with the successes and feedback from bowlers around the globe, the series needed to expand with a new coverstock option. A highly polished pearl blend made the most sense being that Storm was looking to create a stronger move to the pocket. The Prodigy’s pearl R2X material included enhanced traction mica (ETM) and a 4000-grit Abralon texture to help control the midlane with reading as early as the 2000-grit solid Marvel.
Storm is known for producing the best high performance balls on the market. When the Virtual Gravity was released in 2008, it not only turned heads but gave bowlers of all skill levels an unprecedented amount of hook on even the oiliest lanes imaginable. The new Virtual Gravity Nano is intended to create a similar yet stronger ball motion built specifically for heavy oil. This can be accomplished with either a stronger coverstock (texture) or more aggressive weight block (lower radius of gyration or increased differential). As the original Virtual Gravity quickly became Storm‟s all-time best seller, the new Nano is sure to follow in its footsteps…and yes, those are big shoes to fill!
With the next Prodigy- the Marvel, the intent is to create a motion that is more aggressive, especially in oil, than the original version. Looking at the success of the original Virtual Gravity™, it’s clear that bowlers love to see a strong midlane roll that doesn‟t quit on the backend, so that is our goal!
You’ve waited for it, well here it comes. Storm Bowling’s newest edition to their Premier line of high performance bowling balls, the Storm Anarchy.
The goal of the new Storm Anarchy is to develop a high-end strong asymmetrical that is clean through the heads and turns over sharp at the break point, even for bowlers without all the revs of the tour guys.
