hey, anther question that i have on this video is the pin position. the video shows that your pin is below your middle finger, like i said above mine is above my ring finger, and how much difference does that make when throwing this ball with those two pin positions. Also is having grips actually affect the ball being thrown or is it all just personal preference on having them or not?

On the original Hammer Black Widow, I've actually never had a chance to throw one. I've seen many people throw them and it's probably one of the best all around balls I've seen. Compared to the Mutant Cell, if you do put the same drilling on it, I would strongly believe that you are going to get more reaction out of the Mutant Cell. The coverstock and core design of the Mutant Cell is designed to give an optimum amount of reaction through the lane.

Hey Nick,

When I shot this video, I tested it with the out of the box surface of 2000 grit Abralon. That surface works well on tighter shots. On medium to lighter conditions, I would probably use a little factory finish polish to store more reaction towards the back end.

Have you ever thrown or read about the Hammer Black Widow Original? If so i was wondering how that ball matched up with the mutant cell. Does the mutant give a lot more carry or backend. i dont know a lot about the drilling of balls but i believe i have the bottom part of the PIN about a half an inch from my ring finger on my right hand. if i have the mutant drilled the same way will it be stronger or weaker?
