The Smash Zone integrates a pearlized version of Brunswick’s exciting EnMotion™ coverstock with an updated version of the original Inferno™ core and a high gloss polish finish. This combination creates an ultra-low RG symmetric core ball that gets through the front part of the lane then rev’s strongly to create excellent mid-lane recovery and a continuous back-end reaction.
Pin to PAP(4 1/2″ over 1/2″ up) - 5″
CG Placement - 3 3/8″ from PAP

What I Was Looking For In This Layout: With this layout I was expecting to clear the heads easily and give me a strong and predictable reaction down lane to compliment my Brunswick Ultra Zone. This is the second ball I have tried with Brunswick’s new EnMotion Coverstock, so I was interested to see how this ball would stack up when compared to the Brunswick Ultra Zone. Last night I had a chance to drill up some new equipment, just in time for league season. I drilled up a Brunswick Twisted Fury Solid, Brunswick Smash Zone, and a Legends The Black Pearl Reactive. I’m especially excited to throw the Legends The Black Pearl Reactive since this will be the first Legends ball I’ve ever thrown.
After I got done drilling these balls, I went out and threw the Smash Zone and Black Pearl a few shots to see what they’d do. I compared them to my Storm Street Rod which is my benchmark ball. After warming up with the Street Rod, I tried the Black Pearl. I had heard that this ball hooked, but wow. This thing hooks a ton.I’m going to be throwing these balls in league tonight, so I will have a more comprehensive review of these balls within the next few days.

We have started making videos at my place of employment, bowlingball.com. This is the second video we have filmed, and we’re making progress with every film shot.
This is a video about ball reaction featuring Brunswick’s newest high performance ball, the Smash Zone. I have always had great success with Brunswick equipment as I had to throw their line of equipment when I bowled for the University of Central Florida. The Smash Zone rolled really well and I believe is going to be a great ball for most bowlers.
